Data Collected
We collect the following personal data through our contact forms and service inquiries: full name, email address, phone number, project requirements, and budget range. We do not collect sensitive personal data such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health data, or sexual orientation.
Purpose of Processing
Personal data is collected and processed for the sole purpose of responding to service inquiries, providing web design quotations, executing agreed-upon services, and maintaining communication throughout the project lifecycle. Data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.
Legal Basis for Processing
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR — performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures taken at your request. Where you have given explicit consent (e.g., newsletter subscriptions), processing is based on Article 6(1)(a). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
Data Retention
Personal data is retained for the duration necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. Contact form submissions are retained for a maximum of 24 months following the last communication. Data related to active contracts is retained in accordance with Portuguese tax and commercial record-keeping obligations (minimum 10 years).
Data Sharing
NuvoriaDesignWorks does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties. Data may be shared with: hosting providers for site operation, payment processors for transaction handling, and email service providers for communication. All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements in compliance with GDPR Article 28.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data (Art. 15), rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16), request erasure (Art. 17), restrict processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), object to processing (Art. 21), and lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority — CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados), Av. Data Security
NuvoriaDesignWorks implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the services of NuvoriaDesignWorks, located at Rua de Gonçalo Cristóvão 180, 4000-264 Porto, Portugal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
Scope of Services
NuvoriaDesignWorks provides web design, UI/UX interface design, responsive layout development, visual content strategy, and related digital design services. Service scope, deliverables, timelines, and pricing are defined in individual project proposals and statements of work agreed upon before project commencement.
Payment Terms
All project fees are invoiced according to the agreed payment schedule. Invoices are due within 14 days of issuance unless otherwise specified. Late payments may incur a statutory interest rate of 4% per annum plus applicable statutory compensation as per Portuguese law. NuvoriaDesignWorks reserves the right to suspend work on any project where payment is overdue by more than 15 days.
Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, all intellectual property rights for final deliverables are transferred to the client. NuvoriaDesignWorks retains the right to display completed work in its portfolio unless a confidentiality agreement is in place. Pre-existing tools, frameworks, libraries, and code components used during development remain the property of NuvoriaDesignWorks.
Project Scope & Changes
Any changes to the agreed project scope, deliverables, or timeline must be documented in a written change order. NuvoriaDesignWorks will provide a revised quotation for any scope changes before proceeding. Work outside the original scope will be billed at the applicable hourly or per-deliverable rate specified in the change order.
Limitation of Liability
NuvoriaDesignWorks shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of delivered designs or services. Total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. NuvoriaDesignWorks is not responsible for third-party services, hosting failures, or client modifications to delivered work.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Porto, Portugal.
Refund Policy

Cancellation Before Work Commences
If you cancel a project before any work has commenced, you are entitled to a full refund of any advance payments made within 14 days. Cancellation must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
Cancellation During Active Project
For projects cancelled after work has commenced, a partial refund may be issued based on the percentage of work completed at the time of cancellation. Completed milestones are non-refundable. The refund amount is calculated as: total project fee minus the value of work completed and accepted up to the cancellation date.
Deliverable Disputes
If you are dissatisfied with a deliverable, you must notify NuvoriaDesignWorks in writing within 7 days of delivery. We will review your feedback and, if the deliverable materially deviates from the agreed specifications, we will revise the work at no additional cost within a reasonable timeframe. Repeated revision requests beyond the originally agreed scope may incur additional fees.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days using the original payment method. If the original payment method is no longer available, an alternative method will be arranged. NuvoriaDesignWorks is not responsible for any bank fees or currency conversion costs associated with refund processing.
Statutory Rights
This refund policy does not affect your statutory rights under Portuguese and EU consumer protection law. As a consumer, you have the right to a 14-day withdrawal period for services purchased online, as provided by Directive 2011/83/EU and Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014.
